I kinda curtail my rides in the mountains until there are a few days with temps above freezing and usually a couple days of rain to wash off the crap. Back on New Years Day four long time, excellent riders on dual sports went up Roan Mt. All four hit the same patch of black ice and went down. No one was hurt, and who cares about scratches on a dual sport Definitely have to be a bit careful this time of year.
